Blue Origin Launches TeraWave Satellite Internet Network with 6Tbps Speeds
Blue Origin has unveiled its TeraWave satellite internet network, designed for enterprise, data center, and government clients, offering speeds of up to 6Tbps. The network will consist of 5,280 low-Earth orbit satellites and 128 medium-Earth orbit satellites, with deployment set to begin in late 2027, aiming to compete with SpaceX's Starlink. The low-Earth satellites will utilize RF connectivity, while the medium-Earth satellites will employ optical links for enhanced speeds.

Blue Origin announced its TeraWave satellite internet network, capable of 6Tbps speeds, targeting enterprise, data center, and government clients. The constellation will consist of 5,280 low-Earth orbit satellites and 128 medium-Earth orbit satellites, with deployment starting in late 2027.
Low-Earth satellites will use RF connectivity with a max speed of 144 Gbps, while medium-Earth satellites will use optical links for 6Tbps. This network aims to compete with SpaceX's Starlink, which has over 9 million customers. Blue Origin is expanding its capabilities, having launched its New Glenn rocket and planning a lunar landing this year.
