Blue Origin Launches TeraWave Satellite Network for Global Data Connectivity
Blue Origin has unveiled TeraWave, a satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps for enterprise, data center, and government users. Comprising 5,408 satellites in low Earth and medium Earth orbits, TeraWave aims to enhance connectivity in remote areas, with deployment scheduled to begin in Q4 2027. The network will utilize Q/V band and E-band connections to support high-capacity data transmission and address the growing demand for bandwidth and service reliability.

Blue Origin announced TeraWave, a satellite communications network aimed at enterprise, data center, and government users, providing symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps. The network will consist of 5,408 satellites in LEO and MEO, with deployment starting in Q4 2027.
TeraWave aims to enhance connectivity in remote areas where traditional fiber paths are impractical. The system will support high-capacity uplink and downlink via Q/V band and E-band connections. Blue Origin's FCC filing outlines the network's purpose to meet increasing bandwidth demand and improve service reliability.
