Blue Water Intelligence Launches AI River Flow Forecasting System in Nepal under HydroNepal Project
Blue Water Intelligence has introduced an AI-driven river flow forecasting system in Nepal as part of the HydroNepal Project, enhancing collaboration between Nepal and France on water and energy security. This system operates in key river basins and aims to improve hydropower planning, disaster preparedness, and water resource management, with support from the French government and implementation by the Nepal Electricity Authority. The launch event brought together stakeholders from government, academia, and international organizations to discuss climate resilience and basin-level water management.

Blue Water Intelligence (BWI) has launched an AI-enabled river flow forecasting system in Nepal as part of the HydroNepal Project, enhancing Nepal-France cooperation on water and energy security. The system is operational in the Upper Karnali, Marsyangdi, Trishuli, and Dudh Koshi river basins.
Supported by the French government and implemented with the Nepal Electricity Authority, the project aims to improve hydropower planning, disaster preparedness, and water resource management. The launch event included representatives from government, academia, private sector, and international organizations, with discussions on climate resilience and basin-level water management.
