Lake Pueblo State Park closed for eight hours as a bomb squad from Peterson Space Force Base removed a 100-pound munition-like object found two miles downstream from the Pueblo Reservoir dam. Discovered by a visitor, the object was heavily corroded and partially buried, complicating assessment.

Authorities determined it was nonexplosive and posed no public threat, though it could have been dangerous if active. Peterson SFB will confirm its identification.
