Boonville Secures $7 Million State Grant for Wastewater Infrastructure Improvements
Boonville will receive a $7 million state grant for upgrades to its Mill Creek interceptor sewer line and wastewater treatment plant, as announced by Gov. Kathy Hochul. This grant is part of a larger $250 million funding initiative for water and sewer infrastructure improvements across New York. The project is set to begin on May 1, 2026, and conclude by May 1, 2028, following delays in securing funding. Previous grants have included $3 million from the USDA and a $1 million state grant for disinfection systems.
