Boralex and Six Nations Commission Canada’s Largest Battery Energy Storage Project in Hagersville
Boralex Inc. and Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation have launched the Hagersville Battery Energy Storage Park, Canada's largest facility of its kind, with a capacity of 300 MW / 1,200 MWh. Recognized as the 'Innovative Clean Energy Project of the Year' by CanREA, the project enhances Ontario's energy transition and demonstrates a commitment to community involvement through local labor engagement. Boralex's total operational storage capacity now reaches 380 MW / 1,520 MWh, solidifying its position as Canada's leading battery storage operator.

This project is a significant step in Ontario's energy transition and has been recognized as the 'Innovative Clean Energy Project of the Year' by CanREA.
It involves local community participation and key civil works delivered by A6N, a partnership with Aecon. Boralex's operational storage capacity is now 380 MW / 1,520 MWh, making it the largest battery storage operator in Canada. The project also contributes to grid stability and supports additional projects in development, including a 125 MW Oxford project.
