BorderPlex Digital Assets has launched a Request for Information (RFI) for Project Green, one of New Mexico's largest renewable energy initiatives, attracting interest from over 100 parties. The project aims to source up to 500 MW of renewable generation capacity by 2028 and scale to 1 GW by 2032.

The RFI seeks innovative solutions in wind generation, long-duration energy storage, hydrogen production, and integrated generation-storage technologies. Responses are due by February 15, 2026, after which qualified respondents may be invited to a Request for Proposals (RFP) phase in Q2 2026. Project Green aligns with BorderPlex's commitments under a Memorandum of Understanding with the State of New Mexico and aims to drive economic development and environmental sustainability.
