Boretech and Chiripal Launch PET Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling Facility in India
Chiripal Poly Films and Boretech Group are establishing a PET bottle-to-bottle recycling facility in Jammu, India. This initiative supports India’s regulatory shift towards a minimum of 40% recycled content in rigid plastics by 2026, addressing rising demand for high-quality recycled PET.

Chiripal Poly Films has partnered with Boretech Group to create a PET recycling facility in Jammu, India. The project will utilize Boretech’s advanced PET washing and recycling technology to produce 30,000 tons of PET flakes and 16,000 tons of food-grade rPET pellets annually.
This facility aligns with India’s impending requirement for recycled content in plastics, effective April 1, 2026. Boretech's extensive experience in the Indian market, with 78 PET washing lines installed, will support project execution.
The recycling process has received regulatory approvals from the U.S. FDA and the European Food Safety Authority, ensuring compliance with food-contact standards. The project represents a significant step towards enhancing the supply of food-grade rPET and promoting sustainable packaging solutions.
