Bosch Group and Linz AG have signed a letter of intent to develop hydrogen technologies in Linz, focusing on using hydrogen from Bosch's electrolysis test field. The initiative aims to enhance the regional hydrogen economy and support energy supply decarbonization.

The partnership will explore injecting hydrogen into the H2 starter network via a new pipeline dedicated to supplying initial customers. Additionally, they will investigate building more electrolysis plants and utilizing existing infrastructure.

The collaboration will be backed by research partners analyzing technical, economic, and ecological factors, with a joint working group set to formulate recommendations in the coming months. This initiative aligns with the Hydrogen Offensive 2030 of Upper Austria, which includes Bosch as part of a network of 78 entities.
