Bosque Farms Secures $10M for Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements from NM Capital Outlay Bill
Bosque Farms received $10 million from New Mexico's Senate Bill 240 for wastewater treatment plant improvements. Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and local legislators, including Sen. Joshua A.
Sanchez and Rep. Brian G. Baca, played key roles in securing this funding, which addresses clarifier upgrades and sludge processor construction.
In total, SB 240 allocates nearly $28 million for projects in Valencia County, including $3 million for the county hospital and funding for a new police station and senior center. This follows an earlier $10 million federal grant from the Thomas R. Carper Water Sources Development Act of 2024, which was retracted under the Trump administration.
