The East Coast Zoological Foundation is set to break ground on the Bowen Aquarium at Port Canaveral on December 2. Currently, $74 million has been raised of the $140 million fundraising goal. The aquarium will serve as a conservation hub focused on restoring the Indian River Lagoon and supporting wildlife rehabilitation efforts.
Significant progress includes the completion of the aquarium's design, development of a wastewater treatment system, and selection of PCL as the construction management firm. The project is expected to attract tourism and enhance the local economy by fostering job creation and innovation partnerships in the area.
