BPMA and PGE Launch Upgrade for Arun Field Operations
The Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA) and Pema Global Energi (PGE) are advancing the Aceh production operation-optimization project to enhance gas and condensate output. The project aims to replace outdated facilities and is set to increase gas sales by 12 MMSCFD and condensate production by 300 BPD, highlighting its significance for regional resource management.

The Aceh production operation-optimization & revamping project (APO ORP) is being undertaken by BPMA and PGE to modernize production facilities. Key components include a gas compressor, a gas processing facility with a capacity of 60 MMSCFD, and a new power plant.
Currently, the gas processing facility is 70% complete and is expected to begin operations by August 2026. This upgrade is projected to enhance gas sales and condensate production significantly, with an increase of 12 MMSCFD in gas and 300 BPD in condensate. The successful implementation of this project is critical for improving the efficiency and sustainability of oil and gas operations in Aceh.
