Brazil Launches Federal Private Communication Network for Public Administration
Brazil's Ministry of Communications announced the launch of a R$ 1 billion Federal Private Communication Network, aiming for completion by December 2027. This initiative integrates communications among federal and state public agencies to enhance security and operational efficiency.

The Federal Private Communication Network will utilize R$ 1 billion in funding and aims for completion by December 2027. The project includes a mobile network that connects the District Federal Military Police, the Brazilian Army, and legislative police units, enhancing coordination and response capabilities.
Initially, Aracaju (SE) is activated for the fixed network, serving 12 government buildings with a dedicated 75.5 km fiber optic infrastructure. Future expansions target Macapá (AP), Rio Branco (AC), Goiânia (GO), and Vitória (ES) starting September 2026. The network will be operated by Telebras, ensuring secure communications through advanced encryption.
