Brazil Selected to Launch Global Talent Development Program for Data Centers
Brazil has been chosen as the starting point for a global coalition aimed at training professionals for the data center sector. Led by the Equinix Foundation, the initiative includes ODATA, Cisco, Vertiv, and Generation, a nonprofit focused on economic mobility. The program will start in June and October, training 50 students for Customer Operations Technician roles and connecting them to job opportunities in this critical industry. The coalition aims to expand to other countries by 2027.

Brazil will serve as the launch site for a global coalition focused on developing skills for the data center industry, led by the Equinix Foundation and involving ODATA, Cisco Systems, Vertiv, and Generation. The initiative aims to train professionals for Data Center Technician and IT Support roles, with the first cohorts starting in June and October 2026, targeting a total of 50 graduates.
The coalition seeks to address the growing demand for specialized workers and plans to expand to other markets by 2027. Registration for the program will begin in April, announced via Generation Brasil's social media. Brazil ranks 11th globally in data center installations, with 163 facilities primarily in São Paulo.
