DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTUREHYDROGEN

Brazil's Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) reached US$84.1 billion from January to November 2025, the highest since 2014. The increase is attributed to a strategic international repositioning by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's administration.

November alone saw inflows of US$9.8 billion, a 72% year-on-year increase. This total already exceeded 2024's US$74 billion by 13.5%. Economists note that Brazil is close to historical highs of US$102.4 billion seen during 2011-2014.

The government emphasizes foreign policy as a key aspect of its national reconstruction, having opened over 500 new international markets since 2023. The FDI surge has stabilized the Brazilian Real amid high interest rates and global volatility, with Brazil's Central Bank reporting reserves of US$355 billion. Key sectors for FDI include Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen (34%), Agribusiness and Infrastructure (28%), Technology and AI Data Centers (18%), and Oil and Gas (12%).
