Brescia Province is set to amend its Provincial Territorial Coordination Plan (PTCP) by January 2027, aiming for a 45% reduction in land consumption for residential areas and 20% for urban and productive functions by 2030. The updates will include a new land consumption map and improved monitoring through a geoportal, while also focusing on redeveloping degraded areas with sustainable infrastructure and green spaces. Collaboration with local foundations and universities will ensure the plan meets future needs, such as data centers and electric vehicle charging stations.

Brescia Province aims to amend its Provincial Territorial Coordination Plan (PTCP) by January 2027 to align with regional law 31/14, which mandates a 45% reduction in land consumption for residential areas and 20% for urban and productive functions by 2030. The PTCP, established in 2014, needs updates to minimize land use and promote urban regeneration.
The province is creating a new land consumption map and improving its geoportal to monitor this reduction effectively across municipalities. Additionally, the province is identifying degraded areas for redevelopment that includes sustainable infrastructure, green spaces, and services. Collaboration with local foundations and universities is also planned to ensure the PTCP addresses future needs such as data centers and electric vehicle charging stations.
