Brindisi Launches 'LISAPEC' Line for Advanced Hydrogen Manufacturing
Brindisi is set to establish itself as a pivotal player in the European hydrogen sector with the launch of 'LISAPEC', a semi-automated manufacturing line for membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) on February 6, 2026. Developed in collaboration with Politecnico di Torino, this initiative marks a shift from experimentation to large-scale production, aimed at strengthening Europe's hydrogen supply chain. The launch event will feature discussions among industry leaders and researchers on industrial development and energy transition.

Brindisi aims to become a key industrial hub in the European hydrogen sector. On February 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM, Green Independence and Athena will officially present 'LISAPEC', a new semi-automated manufacturing line for producing membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) for electrolysis and polymer fuel cells.
Developed with scientific support from Politecnico di Torino, the project transitions from experimentation to large-scale production, aiming to enhance Europe's hydrogen supply chain for international competitiveness. The launch event, titled 'Advanced Manufacturing for the Hydrogen Supply Chain', will take place at Confindustria Brindisi and will gather businesses, institutions, and researchers to discuss industrial development and energy transition. The agenda includes institutional greetings, technical presentations, and a roundtable discussion on industry synergies and development opportunities.
