Brunstane Primary School Refurbishment Completed with £10M Investment
The refurbishment of Brunstane Primary School in Edinburgh has been completed following a £10 million investment, enhancing sustainability through an EPC A rating. Key upgrades include a three-storey tower, 14 classrooms, and an energy-efficient heating system.

Brunstane Primary School's refurbishment, completed in March 2026, involved a £10 million investment to improve its sustainability and facilities. The project introduced a three-storey tower and a single-storey block, accommodating 14 classrooms, a gym, kitchen, and staff areas.
A new energy centre with an air source heat pump replaced the gas boiler system, supplemented by photovoltaic panels and upgraded insulation. The work, executed by GRAHAM Building, began in October 2024, with a focus on minimizing disruption.
This modernization aims to provide a better learning environment while contributing to net-zero goals. Educational impacts may include improved student engagement and long-term operational savings for the council.
