The Board of Visitors Buildings and Grounds Committee approved the College at Wise's 2035 Master Plan and a schematic design for a new Research Data Center at Fontaine Research Park. The Master Plan includes four new academic buildings, dorm renovations for an additional 80-100 beds, and a multi-use facility.

The data center will begin with four megawatts of capacity and can expand to 16 megawatts. Design plans for the School of Data Science and Entrepreneurship building were also presented. The FY2027 Major Capital Plan was discussed, proposing five new projects totaling $1.8 billion. The next Committee meeting is scheduled for June 4 and 5.
