Bumech Enters South Africa's Mining Sector with $3 Million Deal
Bumech has secured a $3 million agreement to manage operations at the Maranda mine in South Africa, aiming to enhance production capabilities and expand its global reach.

Bumech, a Polish mining firm, has announced a $3 million deal to oversee operations at the Maranda mine in Limpopo, South Africa. This joint venture with Maranda Mining Company and the Booysen Family Trust will facilitate the extraction of various minerals, including silver, zinc, and copper, alongside future gold production.
Bumech plans to invest an additional $6 million from 2026 to 2028 to modernize infrastructure and increase production capacity significantly from 180,000 tons to 800,000 tons annually. Currently, only 10% of the mining land is utilized, indicating substantial growth opportunities. This expansion is also a strategic move to mitigate challenges faced in its Polish operations.
