Burkina Faso's Ministry of Digital Transition reported a 78.05% execution rate for its activities as of November 30, 2025, during a ministerial session on December 29. Key achievements included the deployment of 3G/4G networks in 126 localities, the launch of 'Zama tchey' citizen houses, and significant advancements in postal modernization and public administration digitalization. The ministry's 2026 Annual Work Plan aims to tackle ongoing challenges related to digital sovereignty and equitable access to electronic communication services.

The Ministry of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications of Burkina Faso reported a 78.05% execution rate for its activities as of November 30, 2025. During its second ordinary session of the ministerial sector's board on December 29, 2025, in Ouagadougou, the ministry reviewed its annual work plan for 2026.
Despite security and humanitarian crises, the ministry noted progressive improvements in its key actions, including the deployment of 3G/4G networks in 126 localities and the initiation of work in 750 other areas. Minister Aminata Zerbo announced the launch of 'Zama tchey' (citizen houses) with two constructions underway in Ouagadougou and Kaya.
The ministry has also advanced in postal modernization, with 31,000 national savings accounts dematerialized and a mini data center completed. Additionally, digitalization efforts in public administration continue, with 88 buildings interconnected and over 60 administrative procedures dematerialized. The Annual Work Plan for 2026 aims to address remaining challenges in digital sovereignty and equitable access to electronic communication services.
