Busan Initiates Sewage Pipeline Project to Eliminate Odors at Taejongdae Resort Park
Busan is investing 4 billion won to construct a 3.1-kilometer sewage pipeline system at Taejongdae Resort Park to address odor complaints. The project, set to start in April, aims to collect and treat wastewater from eight facilities, enhancing the area's cleanliness and visitor experience.

Busan's new sewage pipeline project at Taejongdae Resort Park will install approximately 3.1 kilometers of pipelines connecting eight facilities to a wastewater treatment system. Construction begins in April with a completion goal within the year, following the design phase completed in January.
This initiative will eliminate the previous practice of discharging untreated wastewater from septic tanks into natural areas, which caused persistent odors. Additionally, similar upgrades are planned for Busan Children's Grand Park. These improvements are expected to significantly enhance the visitor experience and maintain the area's reputation as a clean destination.
