Cà Mau Province Advances Marine Economy and Infrastructure Development
Cà Mau Province is focusing on marine economic development, aiming for a 10% annual GRDP growth from 2026-2030. Key sectors include fisheries, renewable energy, and marine tourism, projected to significantly boost state revenues and local living standards.

Cà Mau Province in Vietnam is targeting a 10% average annual GRDP growth from 2026 to 2030, with marine sectors expected to contribute 40-45% to state budget revenue. The province's seafood output exceeded 1.26 million tonnes, with shrimp farming covering over 435,000 hectares, solidifying its status as the largest shrimp production hub in the country.
Cà Mau has attracted 26 wind power projects with a total capacity of 4,650 MW, alongside a focus on marine tourism, which drew around 4.7 million visitors from 2018 to 2025, generating approximately $175 million in revenue. The province is also enhancing transport infrastructure, including the Cà Mau-Đất Mũi Expressway and Hòn Khoai Port, which are anticipated to improve trade and regional connectivity. Cà Mau has committed to sustainable development, balancing economic growth with environmental protection and climate adaptation.
