C3ntro Telecom Secures $70 Million for Mexico-US Fiber Optic Corridor Expansion
C3ntro Telecom has secured $70 million from PROPARCO and DEG to expand the fiber optic corridor between Mexico and the US, enhancing connectivity to meet rising demand from data centers and digital services. The financing will support Project Tikva, which aims to deploy nearly 2,852km of fiber and improve digital access for about 9.8 million people across seven Mexican states.

C3ntro Telecom received $70 million in financing from PROPARCO and DEG for Project Tikva, a cross-border fiber optic corridor between Mexico and the United States. The funding will facilitate the deployment of approximately 2,852km of fiber optic cable linking Queretaro and Phoenix, enhancing connectivity for data centers and digital services.
The project targets improved access for 9.8 million people in Mexico and is expected to create over 1,500 direct and close to 8,000 indirect jobs. The initiative is crucial for supporting Mexico's digital economy and addressing infrastructure challenges tied to nearshoring.
