Cameco Corp Signs $1.9 Billion Uranium Supply Deal with India During Carney's Visit
Cameco Corp has signed a C$2.6 billion uranium supply deal with India for 22 million pounds of fuel from 2027 to 2035. This agreement, announced during Prime Minister Mark Carney's visit, reflects a reset in Canada-India relations following diplomatic tensions in 2023. The countries also agreed to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including energy, critical minerals, and technology. The aim is to double bilateral trade to $70 billion by 2030, with ongoing discussions on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
