Cameron County Seeks AG Opinion on Data Center Information Request Involving Eneus Energy
Cameron County is seeking an opinion from the Texas Attorney General regarding a public information request for details about Eneus Energy and RGV Property LLC, aiming to keep certain documents confidential due to a non-disclosure agreement. The county noted that no formal business proposals or permitting applications for a data center have been submitted, while the WaterWorks System in Harlingen has contracted RGV Property Group LLC to supply up to 4.6 million gallons of sewer water daily for data center operations.

Cameron County is contesting a Texas Public Information Act request for details about Eneus Energy and RGV Property LLC, seeking an opinion from the Texas Attorney General on withholding the information. The county has requested to keep non-disclosure agreements, an economic impact study, and a draft layout plan confidential due to a non-disclosure agreement with Eneus Energy.
The county stated that no formal business proposal or permitting applications for a data center have been submitted. Meanwhile, the WaterWorks System in Harlingen has contracted RGV Property Group LLC to provide up to 4.6 million gallons of sewer water daily for data center operations, with specific payment terms outlined in the agreement.
