Cameron Parish will receive over $32 million in federal funding aimed at enhancing electrical infrastructure resilience. This initiative is critical for improving power reliability for more than 27,000 residents during severe weather events.

Cameron Parish is set to receive $32.2 million in federal funding from FEMA for grid resilience initiatives. Of this amount, $29,847,596 will be allocated for Phase II construction of an electrical substation and associated transmission lines, while $1,246,022 will cover management costs for the project.
This funding aims to bolster the region's power system, ensuring that over 27,000 residents have access to reliable electricity during hurricanes. The investment is a crucial step in preventing power outages in harsh weather conditions, mitigating risks to public safety and economic stability.
