Cape Canaveral achieved a historic milestone in April by launching five distinct types of orbital rockets, breaking a 60-year record. The launches included NASA's Space Launch System, SpaceX Falcon 9, ULA Atlas V, Blue Origin's New Glenn, and SpaceX's Falcon Heavy.
This month also marked a total of 31 launches from Florida's Space Coast in 2026, moving towards a projected 500 launches annually by 2035. The region continues to innovate with new companies and infrastructure upgrades supported by significant federal funding.
