CapitaLand Ascendas REIT Acquires Singapore Properties and 49% Stake in Osaka Data Center for S$1.41 Billion
CapitaLand Ascendas REIT has announced a S$1.41 billion acquisition, including two properties in Singapore and a 49% stake in a data center near Osaka, funded in part by a S$900 million equity raise. The deal includes the purchase of 25 Loyang Crescent for S$504.2 million and a 50% stake in Ascent for S$245 million. The investment in Japan targets a Tier III hyperscale data center in Greater Osaka, valued at S$620.7 million.

CapitaLand Ascendas REIT is investing S$1.41 billion in two properties in Singapore and a 49% stake in a hyperscale data center in Greater Osaka. This acquisition is partly financed by a S$900 million equity raise.
In Singapore, the REIT is acquiring 25 Loyang Crescent for S$504.2 million and a 50% stake in the business-space property Ascent for S$245 million, in partnership with a sovereign wealth fund. The investment in Japan involves a S$620.7 million purchase of a Tier III hyperscale facility, with a Mitsui & Co-managed fund holding the remaining stake.
