Carbon Upcycling Appoints Markus Kritzler as CEO, Apoorv Sinha as President
Carbon Upcycling has appointed Markus Kritzler as CEO, promoting co-founder Apoorv Sinha to president to enhance investor relations and long-term strategy. Kritzler, who previously served as chief revenue officer and led group strategy at Holcim Group, will guide the company in its mission to produce low-carbon cement ingredients from captured CO2 and industrial waste, following an $18 million funding round.

Carbon Upcycling has appointed Markus Kritzler as CEO, transitioning co-founder Apoorv Sinha to president to focus on investor relations and long-term strategy. Kritzler, who joined the Calgary-based company last year as chief revenue officer, previously led group strategy at Holcim Group, contributing to major projects globally and the merger of Holcim and Lafarge.
Carbon Upcycling specializes in capturing CO2 and industrial waste to create low-carbon cement ingredients, having launched its first commercial project at the Ash Grove Mississauga Cement Plant in Ontario. The company also raised $18 million in a funding round led by Builders Vision.
