Cassava Technologies to Invest US$ 103 Million in Gauteng Digital Infrastructure

Cassava Technologies will invest R 1.75 billion (US$ 103 million) in Gauteng to expand fiber networks, data center capacity, and cybersecurity infrastructure. This funding is part of a broader R 3.6 billion (US$ 218 million) investment across South Africa, which aims to enhance digital connectivity and promote digital literacy.
The investment will also support the establishment of additional AI factories following the recent launch in partnership with NVIDIA. Job creation in the ICT, engineering, construction, and digital services sectors is anticipated, further positioning Gauteng as a competitive investment destination. The Gauteng Growth and Development Agency facilitated this investment, highlighting its potential to drive economic growth.
