Cboe Migrates US Common Disaster Recovery Data Center to Equinix CH3 in Illinois by February 2026
Cboe is migrating its secondary data center infrastructure to Equinix's CH3 facility in Elk Grove, Illinois, with all equipment for its Cboe US Common disaster recovery data center set to move by February 7, 2026. This migration is part of an eight-phase effort that began in August 2025, starting with the EDGA Equities exchange, followed by BYX Equities and Cboe EDGX Equities in September 2025.
The migration includes hardware and infrastructure for multiple Cboe exchanges, including BZX Equities, C2 Options, and EDGX Options. Client connections will remain at Equinix's CH1 facility. Additionally, Cboe is undertaking a hardware refresh of its market data dissemination system, expected to be completed by February 2, 2026. In August 2024, Cboe sold its former headquarters to Prime Group for conversion into a data center.
