Cáceres Prepares for Industrial Development with Capellanías II Project and Data Center Investments
Cáceres is advancing its industrial development plans with the Capellanías II project, which aims to provide essential infrastructure and has secured 85% of the necessary land. The urbanization project, awarded to UTE ETM-Trivium for €353,199, will support the confirmed CC Green data center investment of €1.04 billion by Nostrum Group. Additionally, a Chinese firm is exploring opportunities to establish an electric vehicle factory in the region, while the controversial Valdeflores lithium mining project continues to seek permits.

Cáceres aims to establish industrial development by 2026, primarily through the Capellanías II project, which began administrative processes in 2025 and is expected to materialize this year. Capellanías II will provide developed land and adequate electrical capacity, essential for attracting companies.
The city has partnered with the Junta de Extremadura for land acquisition, with 85% of the required 53 hectares secured, and negotiations for the remaining 15% ongoing. The urbanization project was awarded to UTE ETM-Trivium for €353,199.
The only confirmed development is the CC Green data center by Nostrum Group, which plans to invest €1.04 billion. The project received Project of Autonomous Interest status in August 2024, accelerating its administrative process.
Chinese firm LUM also showed interest in establishing a factory for electric vehicles in the region. Meanwhile, the controversial Valdeflores lithium mining project continues to seek exploitation permits.
