Cebu City Secures P340M for Key Infrastructure and Assistance Projects
Cebu City Government has received P340 million in Local Government Support Fund for crucial projects including rice assistance and waste management. This funding aims to enhance community support and infrastructure, addressing essential needs in the region.

Cebu City has been allocated P340 million from the Local Government Support Fund for various projects, including P145 million for rice assistance and P145 million for a materials recovery facility (MRF) in Barangay Mambaling. The MRF will feature a sorting station, drop-off center, composting facility, and recycling capabilities, aiming to improve waste recovery and reduce disposal costs.
Additionally, P50 million is designated for a multipurpose building in Barangay Kalunasan, with construction expected to commence this year. Separately, over P200 million is anticipated from the Department of Public Works and Highways for a flood control project in the Tagunol area, set to begin in 2026. These initiatives are crucial for enhancing infrastructure and community support.
