Cemindo Gemilang (CMNT) is implementing sustainability strategies to enhance competitiveness in the cement industry, which faces challenges such as oversupply and regulatory pressures. Despite a projected decline in domestic cement sales, CMNT's Semen Merah Putih has reported a 4.2% growth in specific regions, focusing on energy efficiency and a green cement portfolio to align with market demands. The company's new products, Flexiplus and Ecopro, aim to support the industry's shift towards sustainable construction materials.

Cemindo Gemilang (CMNT) is positioning sustainable practices as a foundation for maintaining competitiveness in the construction materials industry amidst national cement market pressures, oversupply, and increased efficiency and environmental regulations. The national cement production capacity utilization is projected at 54% in 2025, with overcapacity exceeding 56 million tons.
CMNT's Semen Merah Putih is adopting a systemic approach focusing on energy efficiency, production and logistics optimization, and developing a green cement portfolio aligned with market needs and national development policies. Despite a national slowdown in cement demand, Semen Merah Putih achieved approximately 4.2% growth in relevant regions in 2025.
Domestic sales are expected to decline by about 1.5% from 64.95 million tons in 2024 to 63.85 million tons in 2025, primarily due to a slowdown in infrastructure projects. The green cement products Flexiplus and Ecopro aim to meet the industry's shift towards sustainable construction materials.
