CEPETRO/Unicamp Achieves R$ 189 Million in R&D with Focus on New Energy Projects

In 2025, CEPETRO, associated with Unicamp, reported R$ 189 million in new R&D projects, marking a record year with 36 new projects initiated, of which 20% are focused on new energy technologies such as hydrogen and CCUS. This expansion reflects a shift towards energy transition research.
Key developments included the opening of the MultiFlow Lab and the establishment of the Electric Mobility Research Center, supported by R$ 15 million in initial funding. The center produced 273 scientific publications and registered new patents, reinforcing its role in the energy sector. The launch of the Project Enfuse aimed to foster deep tech startups in the energy industry.
