Ceredigion Council Approves 17 Affordable Homes with Occupancy Delay until 2029
Ceredigion County Council's development management committee has recommended approval for Wales & West Housing Association's application for 17 affordable homes in Llanarth. The proposed development includes various types of housing, all classified as affordable. However, local objections cited concerns over infrastructure and highways. The council confirmed there is sufficient school capacity and that the development meets access standards. Occupancy is restricted until improvements to the local wastewater treatment works are completed by December 31, 2028.

Wales & West Housing Association received approval from Ceredigion County Council for a residential development of 17 affordable homes in Llanarth. The application builds upon an existing permission for 12 units.
The new plan includes one three-bed detached house, two three-bed semis, ten two-bed semis, and four one-bed bungalows. Local objections were raised regarding overdevelopment and infrastructure. The council determined there is adequate school capacity and that the development does not harm visual or landscape quality. Occupancy is contingent on upgrades to the Llanina Wastewater Treatment Works, expected by December 31, 2028.
