Chams Holding Company Plc established a new subsidiary, ChamsCorp Plc, on February 1 to advance digital transformation in Africa. This subsidiary, the fifth for Chams, aims to leverage over 40 years of experience in the digital ecosystem.

ChamsCorp will focus on three main areas: manufacturing digital devices, developing digital infrastructure and services, and creating AI infrastructure. It will also support the parent company's offerings in digital ID and verification.

Mohammed Bashir Yunusa has been appointed as Chairman of ChamsCorp. In 2023, Chams faced $100 million in debts from providing digital services to the Nigerian government and plans to adjust its business model.
