ChargeUp Accelerator 2026 Cohort Includes 10 Battery and Energy Storage Startups
The ChargeUp Accelerator has selected 10 startups for its 2026 cohort, aimed at advancing battery and energy storage technologies. This initiative is pivotal for transforming Upstate New York into a battery innovation hub.

In 2026, the ChargeUp Accelerator will host 10 startups focused on battery and energy storage technologies, marking its largest cohort to date. The program, supported by Binghamton University and the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator, runs from April to October and includes over 200 hours of curriculum, $25,000 in funding, and potential technical development funding of up to $100,000.
Selected companies include BUCKSTOP, EELI Technology, MicroEra Power, and NDB, Inc., among others, offering a diverse range of innovations from urban mining to advanced battery solutions. This initiative is crucial for fostering a regional cluster in battery innovation, enhancing the competitiveness of Upstate New York in the global energy market.
