Chartwell Marine and CAJS Sign MoU to Enhance Japan's Offshore Wind Vessel Supply Chain
Chartwell Marine and the Cooperative Association of Japan Shipbuilders (CAJS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support the development of vessels for Japan's offshore wind sector. The collaboration will focus on Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) and Service Operation Vessels (SOVs), leveraging Chartwell's designs introduced through a Nippon Foundation-supported program. CAJS will facilitate communication between local stakeholders and Chartwell, aiming for locally built vessels that comply with project requirements and local content rules.

The partnership will focus on Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) and Service Operation Vessels (SOVs), utilizing Chartwell's designs introduced in Japan via a Nippon Foundation-supported initiative.
CAJS will bridge communication between domestic stakeholders and Chartwell, assisting in the design and local construction of vessels that meet project and content regulations. Future collaboration may include battery-powered and hybrid vessels.
