Chester County Data Center Expansion Proposal Faces Local Opposition
Developers of a data center in Chester County seek to increase the approved site from one million square feet. This expansion proposal has prompted significant resident opposition, highlighting concerns over infrastructure strain.

Sentinel Green Fig, LLC aims to expand its proposed data center in East Whiteland Township, currently approved for one million square feet, located at the former Foote Mineral Superfund site. The company presented its request during a special township meeting attended by residents, who have expressed strong criticism regarding the project's potential impact on local infrastructure.
The township has scheduled a follow-up meeting for April 21 to further discuss the expansion. Resident concerns include the strain on the electric grid, comparing the new data center's demand to that of a medium-sized city.
