FLOW CONTROLHYDRO POWER
Chhattisgarh is initiating pumped-storage hydropower projects, signing MoUs for 28 units with a total capacity of 8,300 MW. This move aims to diversify the state's energy mix, which is currently dominated by thermal power.
The Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) is fast-tracking early-stage clearances and project reports. Six locations have been identified for these projects, collaborating with NHPC, NTPC, THDC, and SJVN. Preliminary work on the projects is already underway.
