Children's Health Defense Hires Lobbyists Against Wireless Infrastructure Expansion
Children's Health Defense (CHD), founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has engaged federal lobbyists to oppose federal proposals that fast-track wireless infrastructure buildout. The organization aims to protect community health and local control from the potential dangers of electromagnetic radiation associated with 5G towers. CHD argues that these proposals threaten health, safety, and property values. Recent actions include a thorough safety review mandated by judges and a study launched by HHS under Kennedy.

Children's Health Defense (CHD) has hired federal lobbyists for the first time to oppose federal proposals aimed at accelerating wireless infrastructure development. Lobbyists from AxAdvocacy began work for CHD on March 4.
CHD is mobilizing against regulatory efforts to expand federal preemption for cell tower construction and exemptions from environmental reviews. Concerns include potential health risks from electromagnetic radiation linked to 5G towers.
A federal panel previously called for a safety review of wireless radiation. Under Kennedy's leadership, HHS has initiated a study on wireless radiation, and the FDA has removed claims of safety regarding such radiation. CHD advocates for local control and limited federal preemption.
