China Advances Power and Hydrogen Projects in Jilin and Xizang Regions

The Fuzhi 220-kV substation in Changchun, Jilin Province, has commenced operations under the city's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), enhancing transformer capacity by 720 megavolt-amperes. The project involved 55 kilometers of transmission lines and was completed in 16 months, supporting a stable power supply for significant commercial developments.

Concurrently, Xizang has initiated green hydrogen and oxygen industry projects, aiming to provide low-cost hydrogen to the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone and Yangtze River Delta. A pilot project for hydrogen production has been finalized, with 20 hydrogen buses currently functional. The developments in both regions could significantly impact energy transition and infrastructure efficiency.
