China Establishes Hydrogen Energy Standardization Technical Committee in Beijing
The National Energy Administration approved the establishment of the Hydrogen Energy Standardization Technical Committee in Beijing on March 5. The committee aims to improve industry standards, guide innovation, and regulate market order. Sinopec, represented by Lu Liangong, will manage four technical committees focusing on hydrogen basics, production, storage and transportation, and applications, supporting the industry's high-quality development.

On March 5, the National Energy Administration approved the establishment of the Hydrogen Energy Standardization Technical Committee in Beijing. The inaugural meeting included officials from Sinopec, CNPC, CEIC, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
The committee aims to enhance the industry standard system, promote technological innovation, and regulate market order. It will consist of four subcommittees: Hydrogen Basics and General Applications, Hydrogen Production, Hydrogen Storage and Transportation, and Hydrogen Applications, with Sinopec managing these groups.
