China NSFC Selects Two Hydrogen Energy Projects for 2026 Innovation Fund
Two hydrogen energy projects have been selected for funding under the 2026 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Enterprise Innovation and Development Joint Fund. Announced on February 13, this initiative provides four-year funding, averaging RMB 2.6 million for key support projects and RMB 10 million for integrated projects. The selected projects include research on instability in hydrogen-blended natural gas combustion for heavy-duty gas turbines, aiming to enhance stability and reduce emissions, and an electrochemical study of nickel-based catalysts for hydrogen production, focusing on improving durability and performance under high current density conditions.
