This development fills a technology gap in China, providing certified solutions for the Asian market and supporting national hydrogen infrastructure goals.

CIMC-Hexagon has launched China's first 20-foot Type 4 hydrogen Multi-Element Gas Container (MEGC), marking a significant advancement in high-pressure hydrogen storage and transport in China. The MEGC features a composite Type 4 cylinder, operating at 38 MPa, with a standard 40ft configuration capable of storing over one ton of hydrogen.
The company is implementing a dual-market strategy focusing on Southeast Asia while advancing local hydrogen storage standards. CIMC-Hexagon aims to enhance product offerings and build a sales network to support the hydrogen industry and promote a low-carbon energy system.
