CIP Sells 240 MW Battery Storage Project to Palisade in Australia
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has sold the Summerfield Battery Energy Storage Project to Palisade Investment Partners, marking a significant move in Australia's renewable energy sector. The transaction is part of CIP's strategy to develop additional large-scale energy projects across Australia while demonstrating their ability to manage risks effectively.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has finalized an agreement to transfer the Summerfield Battery Energy Storage Project, a 240 MW / 960 MWh facility, to Palisade Investment Partners via Intera Renewables. The project, located near Adelaide, is expected to be energized in May 2026 with commercial operations commencing at the end of 2026.
CIP developed the project and began construction in February 2025. Palisade’s acquisition represents their second investment in large-scale energy storage, aimed at supporting Australia’s clean energy transition. Blue Power Partners will manage construction until operational status is achieved.
