Cirion Data Centers Emphasizes Need for Ecosystem to Foster Unicorns in Peru
Juan José Calderón, Sales Director at Cirion Data Centers, highlights the importance of a supportive ecosystem for tech startups in Peru. The company's recent investment in a new data center reflects the country's potential as a hub for technological development.

Cirion Data Centers' recent investment in a cutting-edge facility in Lurín underscores Peru's potential as a destination for global technology firms. With over 10 million residents, Lima provides a substantial market size and enhanced connectivity, crucial for the success of tech initiatives.
However, to nurture unicorns, the country must develop an interconnected ecosystem that includes better infrastructure and government support. Currently, Cirion's data centers in Latin America total approximately 40 MW, with new projects in Lima and Santiago contributing an additional 40 MW. The focus should be on leveraging existing resources and promoting visibility to attract further investments.
