Cisco has announced the integration of Splunk IT Service Intelligence into the Nexus Dashboard, enhancing data center operational capabilities. The integration allows high-fidelity telemetry data, including anomalies and audit logs, to be processed directly within the Nexus environment, eliminating the need to send raw logs to a centralized data lake.

This change aims to improve collaboration between NetOps and SecOps teams by providing a shared view of network and security data. The integration is a key step following Cisco's $28 billion acquisition of Splunk, completed in March 2024, and aligns with Cisco's goal of achieving full-stack observability.
